Trader Joe's is a hidden gem for food enthusiasts, transforming a routine grocery trip into a healthy culinary adventure. This beloved store is famous for its quirky snacks and gourmet options alike, ensuring there is something special for every shopper. I’m excited to share some of my favorite Trader Joe's finds that you must try. Whether you’re a loyal customer or a first-time visitor, these choices are sure to wow your taste buds, be good for your pocket book and healthy for your body!

Items I Love and Why:

Cold Pressed Green Juice: The health benefits for the immune system are plentiful. If you don't have the ability to juice at home, this is the best alternative I've found. No fillers and all organic fruits and veggies. I try for at least 1-2x per week.

Skinless Salmon: I buy every week to meal prep (see Blog Post). You can also ask Whole Foods to take skin off at the counter if you purchase from there.

ShipJack Canned Tuna: This type of tuna has the least amount of mercury. While you'd need to eat ALOT of canned tuna to be concerned about mercury poisoning, I do like to go with the lowest option.

Shredded Organic Kale: Another must. I use this for my chopped salads, but also in my smoothies, soups and even sauteed with veggies.

Tzatziki: Low calorie, low fat and very tasty. On top of grilled chicken, turnkey burger, salmon, roasted veggies. YUM!

Old Fashioned Organic Oats: I'm always looking for a breakfast alternative to eggs and this is it. A great source of fiber - add your fav protein powder and pepitas or nuts for more protein.

Farro: Another weekly meal prep. This Italian grain is a good source of protein and fiber. I add to my salads at lunch and roasted veggies at dinner.

Organic Blue Agave: I love this alternative to sugar, which has a lower glycemic index. I put a swirl in my oats, smoothies, housemade salad dressings. A must for the pantry!

Ginger Tumeric Herbal Tea: The biggest benefits of tumeric are its anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting qualities (but there are SO MANY MORE!). A perfect post dinner cold weather drink.

European Grains & Seeds: I eat with my eggs for breakfast. 4g of Protein and filled with GREAT fiber.

CHOMPS: If you need a quick snack, grab these vs. a protein bar. No sugar, great protein, low calorie and will tie you over between meals.

Dark Chocolate Bars: I LOVE sweets...dark chocolate has good antioxidant benefits and these are a perfect 100 calorie treat! If you like dark choc remember the higher the cocoa contect (at least 70%) the more health benefits (less sugar).
